Manulife Asia is transforming life insurance into a holistic experience—empowering customers to prioritise health and wealth through smart, personalised solutions.
Manulife Asia has been named Life Insurer of the Year at the Asia Consumer Insurance Awards 2025, a recognition of its leadership in reshaping life insurance through digital innovation, integrated propositions, and customer-centric growth.
In a landmark move this year, Manulife became the first international life insurer licensed in the Dubai International Financial Centre, establishing a dedicated office to serve high-net-worth clients with bespoke protection and legacy planning solutions. This milestone reflects the company’s strategic expansion and ability to meet evolving customer needs across markets.
Manulife continues to advance its digital and product capabilities in step with its regional growth. Its leadership in AI is evident through tools like the VOICE dashboard, which analyses customer sentiment from call centre interactions, and Quick Quote, which has streamlined underwriting by reducing processing time from one day to just 15 minutes. This transformation is embedded across the organisation, with over 75% of its global workforce actively using GenAI tools—supported by a persona-based skills program tailored to different roles. The company has also scaled its AI talent base to more than 200 data scientists and machine learning engineers, reinforcing its commitment to building a future-ready, tech-enabled workforce.
Product innovation continues to drive impact. In Hong Kong, Income Guard and IncomeShield introduced first-in-market continuous treatment benefits for heart attack and stroke. In the Philippines, Medical Secure offers up to PHP 5 million in coverage with cashless access to nationwide healthcare networks.
The proprietary Manulife Pro platform, now live in five markets, has enhanced agent productivity and contributed to a 23% year-over-year increase in agency sales by equipping elite agents with advanced tools, underwriting support and qualified leads.
Manulife’s integrated approach to health and wealth reflects evolving customer priorities. According to the Manulife Asia Care Survey 2025, people in Asia place greater importance on financial independence, graceful aging, and quality of life than simply living longer. Manulife’s solutions respond to this shift—bridging protection, investment, and lifestyle through tightly integrated insurance and wealth capabilities, and partnerships with health and wellness providers that support long-term wellbeing.
